一套卑诗省电影夺得六项加拿大银幕奖(Canadian Screen Awards)提名,当中包括最佳电影奖,其内容是关于一名韩国单亲母亲含辛茹苦在加拿大养育孩子的经历。

《Riceboy Sleeps》的剧本部份是根据温哥华演员、编剧兼导演Anthony Shim的童年编写而成。在电影的六项提名中,他囊括了最佳导演、原创剧本和最佳剪辑奖三项提名。除了担任电影导演和编剧之外,Anthony更饰演了Simon这个角色。电影分别在温哥华及南韩取景。
