“Chinese” can be a very complex word, especially in mainstream media. This panel invites Vancouver-based journalists to speak about how the term “Chinese“ is viewed, used and understood. Examining issues of representation, generalization, and multiplicity of identity, audience members are encouraged to think critically about the contemporary evolution of cultural understanding from within the diasporic community.
