多倫多音樂人 Eunice Keitan 的父母 Boon 和 Stephanie，不僅將對藝術的熱愛傳遞給女兒，也讓她成長於一個多語、多元文化的背景中。Stephanie 出生並成長於香港。Boon 在馬來西亞長大，但很早以前就跟隨父親移民加拿大。Stephanie 與 Boon 兩人都在蒙特婁的麥基爾大學（McGill University）主修食品科學。Stephanie 打趣地說，他們的婚姻其實要歸功於這段學術因緣，「因為我的實驗室搭檔就是 Boon 的哥哥。」
Boon and Stephanie’s families shared a deep appreciation for the arts, from music to ballroom dancing to magic.
