《媽的多重宇宙》勇奪11項奧斯卡金像獎提名,達成亞裔再現於電影的里程碑

去年的溫哥華亞洲電影節(Vancouver Asian Film Festival)以「再現的重要性」(Representation Matters)為主題。

隨著今屆奧斯卡金像獎提名出爐,亞裔再現於電影踏出了重大的一步。

《媽的多重宇宙》(Everything Everywhere All at Once)是今屆最多提名的電影,11項提名中更包括最佳電影。

電影講述了由楊紫瓊飾演的華裔美國移民伊芙琳·關與丈夫經營洗衣店的故事。她一方面被稅務局約談,另一方面又嘗試聯繫自己在平衡宇宙的另一個版本,以拯救多重宇宙。

《媽的多重宇宙》是一部包含武術、動畫、喜劇和科幻元素的跨類別電影。

繼贏得金球獎最佳女主角後,出生於馬來西亞的楊紫瓊獲得奧斯卡金像獎同一類別的提名。

此外,身為越南出生華僑,並於電影中飾演她丈夫威門·王的美籍演員關繼威得到金像獎最佳男配角提名,而飾演她女兒喬伊的美藉演員許瑋倫則會角逐最佳女配角殊榮。

在電影中扮演稅務局審計員的美藉演員潔美·李·寇蒂斯(Jamie Lee Curtis)同樣獲提名為最佳女配角。

電影的其他提名還包括最佳導演和最佳原創劇本(關家永和Daniel Scheinert)、最佳影片剪輯(Paul Rogers)、最佳原創配樂(Son Lux)、最佳原創歌曲(《This is Life》,由Ryan Lott、David Byrne和Mitski作曲,Ryan Lott作詞),以及最佳服裝設計(Shirley Kurata)。

亞裔再現於提名中

除了許瑋倫之外,另一名亞裔美藉演員亦獲得最佳女配角提名。擁有越南背景的周洪,憑藉於《我的鯨魚老爸》(The Whale)所飾演的角色獲得首個奧斯卡提名。

在2017年,周洪原先被預料可以藉著於《縮小人生》(Downsizing)的演出獲得提名。但當她先後得到金球獎和美國演員公會獎提名為最佳女配角,電影藝術與科學學院成員決定取消她的提名。

另一方面,加拿大人石之予和Lindsey Collins一同憑著《青春養成記》(Turning Red)獲得今年奧斯卡最佳動畫提名。這部電影講述一名居住於多倫多的13歲華裔加拿大女孩經歷青春期的故事。

在重慶出生的石之予,已於2019年靠作品《包寶寶》(Bao)拿下奧斯卡最佳動畫短片。

今年的奧斯卡金像獎頒獎禮將於3月12日舉行。
